Troubleshooters are supposed to be good at shooting trouble. The problem? They are also good at shooting innocents, killing each other, failing missions and causing enough material destruction that an entire sector gets labelled, ‘Oh hell no’ on mapping apps. This could be fixed by better Troubleshooter selection and training but that takes effort. Why not just mandate strict requirements for Troubleshooting duty – I dunno, something like a certification exam – and assume that fixes everything? PARANOIA is a dystopian sci-fi RPG that contains comedy, satire, dark humour and players working against each other. It pokes some fun that the sci-fi and RPG genre.
